Atlanta, GA - Vehicle Wreck on I-285 at Wesley Chapel Rd Leads to Injuries

Atlanta, GA (October 23, 2022) – According to recent reports from the Atlanta PD, there was a serious rear-end accident on a major roadway in the Atlanta area on October 23 at around 8:20 p.m.

Just before the exit for Wesley Chapel Road on northbound Interstate 285, three cars collided, and one caught fire. The accident, which blocked the two center lanes and the right lane for an hour, occurred in the middle of the road. Both vehicles sustained substantial damage and had to be towed from the scene.

The casualties were treated by Atlanta’s firemen and EMS personnel, but their current conditions remain unknown.

Information about today’s incident is still being collated by officials and is expected to be revealed next week.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their family members. We hope for their quick recovery.

Atlanta Car Accident Rates & Victim Injuries

Most car accidents that result in death or serious injury in Georgia and the rest of the United States are caused by rear-end collisions. In Georgia, rear-end incidents account for over half of all accidents (a phenomenon known as a rear-end or fender bender crash).

There is a potential for death or serious harm even at modest speeds. Broken bones and spinal cord injuries are examples of the kind of traumatic injuries that might be lethal.

One-fourth or more of fatal accidents the previous year were rear-end crashes. Regardless of how severe your injuries are or what caused them, you need to act quickly to ensure they are covered by the law.

Recovering persons may have a more challenging time adjusting because their bodies may be more constrained after an injury. A minor injury might result in significant financial losses due to medical care and time away from work. The emotional distress caused by a careless motorist may also be difficult to overcome.

Insurance firms rarely consider the victim’s perspective when making decisions or doling out compensation. This is just one more argument for why anyone hurt in a car crash in Atlanta should consult a lawyer right now.

Contacting a law firm in Georgia promptly following a car accident is essential, as the results could have far-reaching implications.
