Atlanta, GA (March 18, 2023) – A major route in the Atlanta metropolitan region was closed on Saturday night just before 9:00 p.m. due to a serious crash involving at least two to three automobiles.
The Atlanta Police Department is looking into a crash that occurred close to Exit 58 from I-285 westbound at the I-75 junction. Two consecutive rear-end collisions apparently occurred simultaneously and blocked most traffic lanes on the westbound side of the highway.
Firefighters and EMTs were sent to assist the injured victims at the accident scene. However, the precise number of casualties is yet unclear.
According to reports, the Atlanta Police Department is looking into the event and has encouraged any witnesses or bystanders to contact them immediately.
Our thoughts are extended to the injured victims and their loved ones at this time.
