Atlanta, GA – Two Killed in Ambulance Accident on Campbellton Rd

Atlanta, GA (March 21, 2023) – Two people were killed, and two sustained injuries in an ambulance accident that took place in Atlanta on the afternoon of Monday, March 20.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened at 3 p.m. at 4000 Campbellton Road. Police confirmed that a Pro Care EMS ambulance was traveling in the area when it was involved in an accident with an SUV due to reasons that are not yet known. The SUV flipped over on the side of the road, and the passenger side door of the ambulance was ripped off as a result of the serious collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the SUV, as well as a passenger inside the ambulance, were both tragically pronounced dead on the scene due to traumatic injuries. The driver of the ambulance, as well as a patient in the back of the ambulance, were injured and hospitalized.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the road was blocked for some time after the accident.
