
Atlanta, GA (January 6, 2023) – Around 7:20 a.m. on the morning of Friday, January 6, a serious accident involving a school bus took place in Atlanta.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened on Hamilton Mill Road around the area of Bart Johnson Road. Police confirmed that a school bus was traveling in the area when it was involved in a collision with at least one other vehicle. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The bus driver in the Gwinnett County Public Schools bus was rushed to the hospital with minor injuries. Two other people, who may have been in the other vehicle, were immediately transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic as police worked to clear the scene. Police urged those traveling in the area to use North Bogan as an alternate route.
