Atlanta, GA (March 11, 2023) – On Saturday evening, a serious rear-end crash took place on a major route in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
On the southbound side of Interstate 75, two automobiles collided just before the Canton Road exit. Initial reports indicate that a collision between the center and right lanes of the highway caused at least one driver to lose control and spin out across the interstate. The collision resulted in the highway being blocked for an hour. Due to considerable damage, both cars were removed from the scene.
Despite the lack of specific information on the number of injured individuals, Atlanta-based EMTs, and fire rescue units rushed to the scene and appeared to transfer at least one person to a local hospital. However, the crash is still being investigated, and APD officials have not yet provided any additional details.
At this time, our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their loved ones.
