Atlanta, GA (February 9, 2023) – On Thursday evening, two or three automobiles crashed in Atlanta, leaving at least two individuals injured.
The incident happened just north of the Jimmy Carter Boulevard exit on northbound I-85 at around 7:50 p.m., according to the Atlanta Police Department (APD).
Initial fire and EMS responders reported two casualties, but their current conditions remain unclear.
The constricted departure ramp and backed-up right lanes caused a major traffic standstill. However, no other information on the cause of the incident is available at this time.
Our thoughts remain with the injured victims and their loved ones.
Auto Accident Rate in Atlanta
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, there will be around 360 000 automobile collisions in the state in 2021. During the coronavirus pandemic, the number of automobile accidents in our state grew dramatically, seemingly defying logic.
Due to the myriad dangers on our roads and the recklessness of all-too-many drivers, including texting while driving and driving under the influence, at least 122,000 people were injured, and 1,100 died. Those engaged in automotive mishaps should set aside a substantial amount to meet any legal and medical expenses that may emerge from the occurrence.
All medical costs incurred by the injured party must be compensated. Accident victims who were injured but may have been prevented should seek legal assistance immediately. If you have been engaged in an automobile accident in Atlanta and do not understand your legal alternatives, you should see a lawyer.
In the aftermath of a collision, you must establish that the other motorist was at fault and hence accountable for your losses. When is it necessary to lodge a claim for compensation? What choices do you have if you cannot reach an agreement with the other party? An Atlanta personal injury attorney might answer these inquiries.
After sustaining a personal injury, it may be difficult to return to “normal,” particularly if the recklessness of another motorist caused the damage. An accident victim’s impairment may have major financial ramifications. It may be difficult to achieve emotional balance after discovering that someone else’s negligence caused your sorrow.
