Atlanta, GA (November 12, 2022) – In the greater Atlanta area on Saturday, November 12, about 8:50 p.m., a car crash with injuries took place.

The collision happened near Lowery Boulevard in the I-20 eastbound lanes, according to Atlanta Police. Police confirmed that two cars collided for an unknown cause and that there may have been a third motorist involved in the chain reaction incident.

To help those in need, a large number of local responders—including paramedics, firemen, and others—were sent to the area. EMT units were spotted assisting one or more persons on the site. Unknown conditions now exist for the unidentified patients who were sent to neighbouring hospitals for more care.

The road was shut down as a result of the incident for around two hours. Significant delays were experienced as a consequence of the officers completely blocking all lanes until the area was evacuated and their on-scene investigation was finished.

The circumstances of the accident are still being investigated.
