Atlanta, GA – Injuries Reported in Truck Accident in SB Lanes of I-85

Atlanta, GA (April 6, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a serious truck accident that took place on a major Atlanta highway on Wednesday morning, April 6. 

According to local officials, the accident happened around 7:51 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-85 around the area of Cleveland Avenue. A tractor-trailer was traveling in the area when it collided with one or more vehicles due to reasons that are not yet known. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles. 

Several responders, including Atlanta paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment of unknown injuries.

The roadway was blocked in several lanes for some time until police were able to clear the scene. 

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues. Police will update with more information as it becomes available.
