Atlanta, GA – Car Crash with Injuries in SB Lanes of Downtown Connector

Atlanta, GA (February 8, 2023) – Injuries stemmed from a car accident that took place on a highway in Atlanta on the morning of Wednesday, February 8.
According to Atlanta Police, the accident happened around 4:22 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the Downtown Connector near the area of Spring Street. Police confirmed that several vehicles were traveling in the southbound lanes of traffic when they collided with each other due to unknown reasons around the area of the exit. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more parties were hurt in the collision. The injured victims were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not entirely known.
Two right lanes of traffic were blocked for some time until police were able to clear the scene. This led to delays in the area.
