Atlanta, GA (March 12, 2023) – On Sunday afternoon, just before 1:00 p.m., a serious accident involving at least two to three automobiles caused the closure of a key route in the Atlanta metropolitan region.
An incident that occurred at Exit 20 of the westbound I-285 close to the I-75 junction is now being looked into by the Atlanta Police Department. Both lanes of traffic were blocked by two different rear-end collisions that nearly occurred simultaneously.
To help the injured victims, Atlanta-area dispatchers sent firemen and EMTs to the vehicle accident scene. It still remains unclear how many victims were involved, however.
According to reports, the Atlanta Police Department is looking into the event and has urged bystanders or witnesses to contact them immediately.
Our thoughts are extended to the wounded victim and their family members at this time.
