Athens, GA – Injuries Reported in Car Crash at E Campus Rd & River Rd Intersection

Athens, GA (January 30, 2023) – At 2:19 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday, January 27, two drivers were hurt in a car accident that happened at an Athens intersection.
According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of East Campus Road and River Road. Police confirmed that two drivers were traveling in their vehicles when they entered the intersection at the same time. The involved vehicles sustained immense damage as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to assist those in need. Both drivers sustained injuries in the accident. The parties were treated on scene and are expected to make a full recovery.
