Athens, GA (March 1, 2023) – A driver sustained injuries in a car accident that took place on a roadway in Athens in the late afternoon of Tuesday, February 28.

According to the University of Georgia Police Department, the accident happened at 5:03 p.m. on College Station Road. Two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, which caused them to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the collision.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to assist those in need. The driver, who has not yet been identified, was hurt in the collision. The party was treated on scene by EMS crews for abrasions but is expected to fully recover.
