High-Speed Crashes in South Carolina

Last year, 10,111 people lost their lives in motor vehicle collisions related to speeding. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that this number is up around 4% over the previous year. All drivers are greater at risk of crashing when driving too fast, especially in dangerous roadway conditions.
People rarely think about the risk of being in an accident when they get into their cars and drive off into the world. You run the risk of being in an accident every time you get in your car and start driving. Additionally, although the majority of collisions are very minor and only cause minor injuries, many of them are grave and cause fatalities or detrimental effects on a person’s life. The stakes are much higher when someone is involved in a life-threatening car rash.
The majority of auto accidents can be avoided. No matter if a motorist is negligent and causes an accident while texting or talking on the phone, reckless because they are driving too quickly, or impaired because they are operating a vehicle while using drugs or alcohol, all of these behaviors are negligent and can lead to accidents. Nearly every time, the outcome is the same. People’s lives undergo significant, occasionally irreparable changes.
