Growing up in a small town, Livingston, Alabama, the close-knit community instilled morals, values, and tenacity in me. I knew at a very young age that I wanted to be an attorney. I graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law and Spelman College, cum laude, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in English degree. I also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Mercer University and served as an educator for four years.
I love to travel and spend time with friends and family. I also enjoy being in nature whether I’m hiking or just being surrounded by water. I also enjoy doing DIY projects.
I have an American Bully. Her name is Luna. She’s huge but such a big baby. She loves to cuddle and play.
I received the Order of the Samaritan, which is the highest public service award bestowed by the University of Alabama School of Law. I also received the Excellence in Service Award which is awarded to the top three students in her class for their commitment to community service. These accomplishments are important to me because I made a vow to myself to always give back to my community.
