Amy Whitelaw

I grew up in Buffalo, New York and remain a diehard Sabres and Bills fan.  After high school, I moved to Washington, D.C. where I attended American University.  I was a founding member of the American University Mock Trial team and a member of the Pep Band and Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity.  I graduated from American’s School of Public Affairs in 2012 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Disciplinary Studies: Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government (CLEG).  From there, I kept moving south and attended University of Richmond School of Law.  While in Law School, I was a member of the Moot Court Board, Trial Advocacy Board and University of Richmond Law Review, where I served as an Articles Editor.

Following graduation, I focused on personal injury, handling auto accident, dog bite, premises liability, and Nursing Home/Assisted Living Facility cases.  I represented injured victims at all stages of their cases, including in bench trials, jury trials, and arbitrations.

I have a young son who keeps me and my spouse very busy.  You can often find me outside with my son, collecting rocks or sticks, or having lightsaber battles.  I also enjoy exploring new restaurants, watching hockey or football, or spending the day reading a great book.

I’m a lover of comic books and Super-Heroes.  I have an extensive collection of action figures and collectibles and my comic collection would rival most comic shops.  I was also a musician when I was younger and can play nearly any percussion instrument you put in front of me.

Getting to speak on behalf of injury victims will always be the thing I’m most proud of.  Every client’s story is unique and I’m honored to play a part.
