Jacey Jefferson is a distinguished attorney known for her dedication to her clients and her remarkable achievements in the legal field. She began her academic journey at the University of Alabama, where she majored in pre-law before transferring to Florida State University to earn her degree in Sport Management. Jacey then pursued her law degree at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
In law school, Jacey was the student materials editor of Cumberland’s American Journal of Trial Advocacy, the nation’s oldest law review dedicated to the art of trial advocacy. Jacey was published by the American Journal of Trial Advocacy three times, writing on a variety of legal topics. Jacey also received published research credit by DRI Magazine. Jacey also served as a Judge Abraham Caruthers teaching fellow with the Lawyering and Legal Reasoning Department, served as a directed research and teaching assistant for the Director of Academic Support, was on the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Board, and served on the Ethics Committee at UAB Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Jacey was on Cumberland’s National Negotiation Team, winning First Runner Up in the Henry C. Strickland Competition, as well as achieving First Place in the ABA Region 6 Competition, and ranking as a Semi-Finalist in the ABA Negotiation Nationals Competition.
Jacey has extensive civil litigation experience and has successfully represented individuals across the State of Alabama, obtaining the highest verdict in a few Alabama counties. In 2020, Jacey was Nationally Ranked in the Top 10 Under 40 by the National Advocacy of Personal Injury Attorneys. In 2022, Jacey was nominated by her fellow peers and was selected for the Mid-South Rising Stars, Super Lawyers.

Jacey is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Young Lawyers’ Section of the Alabama State Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association.
When she is not working, Jacey enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, and their dog, Willow, playing softball, and visiting family and the beach in her hometown of Destin, Florida. Jacey is also active in her church and small groups.
