It is an honor to be trusted by so many clients over the years to handle their cases including many cases where clients experienced life-altering situations. Once, I tried a case for a client against his insurance carrier that attempted to discredit him for his claims of injury. After pointing out how the insurance company was mistreating its own insured, the jury came back during deliberations with two questions: 1. Can we award punitive damages? 2. Can we give more than was asked for?
“I HOPE I CONTINUE TO REPRESENT CLIENTS THAT NEED HELP AND GET THEM RESULTS THEY ARE HAPPY WITH”
– J. CRAIG LEWIS
Over the years, I’ve learned to treat people fairly. Reputation is everything. Listening is the best way to learn in life.
I grew up in a small town in Northwest Alabama where people knew everybody and everyone worked hard and lived simple lives. I enjoyed spending time with my family and I was able to make friendships that I still have today. My dad has been the biggest influence in my life. He taught me to be a gentleman and how to treat other people with respect. He was always someone I could go to for advice and I knew I would get his best answer.
I have three boys (20, 17, and 15). Having the opportunity to raise my sons into good men has been the most rewarding thing that has happened to me.
In my spare time, I usually exercise, hike, go to ball games and concerts, and try new places to eat. I would like to travel more if and when I get more opportunities.
