Moped Crashes in South Carolina
According to crash records from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the number of fatal moped accidents in 2014’s first half was more than double that of 2013. In all, 18 of these occurred in the first half of 2014 as opposed to 7 in the same period in 2013.
Due to the state’s pleasant, mild environment, motorcycle riders are permitted to utilize the state’s roads and highways all year long. Although riding a motorcycle may be both exciting and practical, there is a chance that you could get hurt. Due to the quality of the roads in South Carolina, motorcycle riders run the danger of getting into single-vehicle accidents in addition to crashes with bigger, more powerful vehicles.
Every driver should be conscious of their need to safely share the road with motorcycle riders. However, there are still some irresponsible and dangerous drivers on the road. Motorcyclists face significant risks from defective bikes, roadwork, and other potentially dangerous road conditions, all of which raise the possibility of a collision or perhaps a fatal accident.
