Uvalda, GA – Serious ATV Accident Leads to Serious Injuries on Old River Rd
Uvalda, GA (March 23, 2022) – On Tuesday night, March 22, an ATV accident took place on a roadway in Uvalda that led to serious injuries.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, the accident happened on Old River Road around 8:39 p.m. Police confirmed that a driver was on a Kawasaki Mile 610 ATV when it was struck by a passenger vehicle in the area due to reasons that are not fully known. The vehicles involved in the accident sustained severe damages as a result.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene. The driver of the ATV sustained serious injuries and was found unconscious at the scene. He was rushed to a local hospital by medical helicopter.
Police interviewed the driver of the passenger vehicle and found that they struck the ATV from behind. The driver told police that she never saw the ATV until it was too late. She sustained minor injuries and was also hospitalized.
