Head-On Crashes in South Carolina

Swansea, SC - Christopher Lykes Dies in Crash with Fire Engine on St Matthews Rd

In a head-on crash, the chance of fatal injuries is higher than in other types of collisions. With a death rate of over 58%, head-on crashes are some of the most deadly. These accidents account for more than 10% of all road deaths each year, despite making up less than 2% of reported traffic accidents. Careless or distracted drivers who swerve into opposite lanes of traffic are generally usually to blame because when a motorist merges into opposing traffic, they risk crashing head-on with another driver. Even at low speeds, these collisions may be fatal.

Serious car accidents across the state are almost always caused by the negligence of one or more parties, and these collisions can leave victims with severe or life-threatening injuries. What you do in the moments after a crash can have a significant impact on any potential personal injury claim, determining your ability to obtain a fair settlement, which is why you must act quickly to protect your right to compensation. In the aftermath of a serious accident, injured parties should contact a Swansea car crash attorney for efficient, knowledgeable, and compassionate legal representation, as this is the best way to maximize your chances of a successful claim.
