Sumter, SC – Kaylee Danielle Geddings Killed in ATV Collision on US-15

Sumter, SC (January 24, 2022) – A woman was killed and three others injured after an all-terrain vehicle was hit by a car in the Sumter area on Wednesday night, January 19. The accident was reported at around 7:35 p.m. on US-15 near Geddings Road. 

Local reports revealed that a 2012 Yamaha Side-by-Side ATV was stopped on US-15 SB. The ATV was then struck by a southbound 2001 Hyundai. One of the riders of the ATV sustained fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The deceased party was later identified as 23-year-old Kaylee Danielle Geddings. Three other riders on the ATV, including the victim’s sister, were all injured. They were transported to a local hospital for treatment. 

An ongoing investigation into the accident is underway.
