Summerville, SC – Two Killed in Fire at Summerville Station Apts

Summerville, SC (September 29, 2022) – An apartment fire in the Summerville area on Thursday, September 29, resulted in fatal injuries. The incident occurred that morning at around 9:41 a.m. at the Summerville Station Apartments on Old Trolley Road.

Firefighters and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene. A total of 36 units at the complex were reportedly involved in the fire. Two people at the scene sustained fatal injuries. It took officials nearly 3 hours to extinguish the blaze. Three police offers were hospitalized for injuries. 

No additional information has been provided at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
