Summerville, SC – Dawn Elaine Clark-Pettis Dies in Hit-&-Run on 3rd North St

Summerville, SC (March 2, 2022) – A local woman was killed following a pedestrian crash in the Summerville area on Wednesday morning, March 2. The deadly accident was reported on E. 3rd North Street at around 12:30 a.m. 

A vehicle was on the roadway when it hit a pedestrian that was traveling on the road. The at-fault driver fled the scene without providing aid to the injured party. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The deceased party was later identified as 60-year-old Dawn Elaine Clark-Pettis of Summerville. No additional information has been released at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the fatal accident is underway.
