Fatal Trucking Accidents in South Carolina

Spartanburg, SC - Mildred Anne Seay Dies in Crash with Semi on I-26

Every year in the United States, over 500,000 trucking accidents are reported, resulting in thousands of deaths. Commercial trucks transport the majority of freight in the United States, and these massive vehicles can endanger passengers in passenger cars. In the event of a collision, smaller vehicle occupants are more likely to suffer life-threatening injuries, according to national accident statistics.

If a loved one was killed in a car accident, you should file a wrongful death claim. A number of complicated rules govern these claims, including who can file a claim and when a wrongful death claim in South Carolina is appropriate. When the at-fault party was the direct cause of the victim’s death, a wrongful death lawsuit is an option. A representative of the deceased should file a claim and attempt to prove the defendant’s negligence with the help of a lawyer.
