
Savannah, GA (February 6, 2023) – Around 5 p.m. on Monday evening, February 6, a construction worker sustained injuries in a Savannah pedestrian accident.
According to Savannah Police, the accident happened on Broughton Street around the area of Barnard Street. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in the area when the driver struck another vehicle, then drove up onto the sidewalk. The driver then went through road barricades and collided with a construction worker who was on the roadway.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local Savannah responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. The construction worker, who has not yet been formally identified, was injured in the accident. They were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their current condition is not yet known.
