Santee, SC – Pedestrian Dies in Traffic Accident on I-95
Santee, SC (June 23, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a tractor-trailer in Santee on Wednesday, June 22.
The victim was walking on Interstate 95 near Exit 98 when they were struck at around 6:30 p.m. A Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling north when it hit the pedestrian as they crossed west on the highway. The party suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.
The identity of the deceased party has not been revealed at this time. An ongoing investigation into the deadly accident is underway.
