Sandy Springs, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision with Injuries on GA-400

Sandy Springs, GA (April 2, 2022) – At 2:37 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, April 2, a multi-vehicle collision took place in Sandy Springs. 

According to Sandy Springs Police, the accident happened in the northbound lanes of GA-400 around the area of exit 6, Northridge Road. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. One of the vehicles spun out and collided with a guardrail. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene. 

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the collision. The injured parties, who have not yet been identified, were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known. 

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene. 

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
