Sandy Springs, GA – Car Accident on I-285 Near Roswell Rd Leads to Injuries
Sandy Springs, GA (April 10, 2022) – Injuries were reported in a car accident that took place on a highway in Sandy Springs on Sunday afternoon, April 10.
According to Sandy Springs Police, the accident happened around 3:48 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-285 around the area of exit 25, Roswell Road. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when one or more lost control, causing the vehicles to forcefully collide with one another. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were hurt as a result of the collision. The injured parties were taken to local hospitals for treatment. Their identities and conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in one or more lanes for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
