Rome, GA (December 6, 2022) – Injuries were reported as a result of a car accident that took place at an intersection in Rome on the morning of Tuesday, December 6.
According to Rome Police, the accident happened at an unknown time in the morning hours at the intersection of Guthrie Cemetery Road and Copper Ridge. Police confirmed that two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with each other. The involved vehicles were badly damaged and had to be towed away from the scene.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained serious injuries in the accident. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked at the intersection. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
