South Carolina Fatal Head-On Accidents

Pickens, SC - Update: Brandon Scott Hammett Dies in Car Accident on SC-183

Head-on collisions are more likely than other types of car accidents to result in fatal injuries. Head-on collisions account for more than 10% of all road deaths in the United States each year but account for less than 2% of all reported traffic accidents nationwide.

If a loved one was killed in a car accident, you should file a wrongful death claim. A number of complicated rules govern these claims, including who can file a claim and when a wrongful death claim in South Carolina is appropriate. When the at-fault party was the direct cause of the victim’s death, a wrongful death lawsuit is an option. A representative of the deceased should file a claim and attempt to prove the defendant’s negligence with the help of a Pickens car accident lawyer.
