Orangeburg, SC – Pedestrian Fatally Struck at SC-6 & McCords Ferry Rd

Orangeburg, SC (January 24, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident was reported in Orangeburg on Sunday evening, January 23. The deadly crash took place at the intersection of SC-6 and McCords Ferry Road at around 9:11 p.m. 

Local reports revealed that a 1999 pickup truck was headed westbound on the highway. The driver hit a pedestrian on the roadway. The injured party sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased party has not been released at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the cause of the deadly accident is underway.
