Orangeburg, SC – Pedestrian Killed in Traffic Accident on SC-33
Orangeburg, SC (December 12, 2021) – A pedestrian in a motorized wheelchair suffered fatal injuries after being involved in a collision in Orangeburg on Saturday night, December 11. The deadly pedestrian accident was reported at around 9:15 p.m. on SC-33.
Local sources revealed that the first vehicle was a 2017 Toyota Corolla driven by a 19-year-old woman and the second was a Hyundai sedan driven by a 28-year-old woman. Both drivers were reportedly headed northbound on the highway.
Both vehicles hit a pedestrian that was crossing the roadway. The injured victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased party has not been revealed at this time.
An ongoing investigation into the deadly pedestrian crash is underway.
