North Charleston, SC – Woman Killed by Driver Running Light on Tanger Outlet Blvd

North Charleston, SC (August 15, 2022) – A woman died after being hit by a driver who ran a red light near an outlet mall in North Charleston on Saturday, August 13. 

The deadly crash was reported on Tanger Outlet Boulevard at around 10 p.m. A vehicle driven by 28-year-old Aaron Porter ran a red light and crashed into another car driven by a 55-year-old woman. The woman suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Porter exhibited signs of intoxication and was taken into custody. No additional information has been provided. 

Local authorities are handling the ongoing crash investigation.
