Macon, GA – One in Critical Condition After Car Crash on Broadway

Macon, GA (October 4, 2022) – Around 8:50 a.m. on the morning of Monday, October 3, two people were injured in a critical accident in Macon.

According to Bibb County deputies, the accident happened on Broadway at the intersection with Raines Avenue. A driver was in a white Ford Taurus and another driver was in a gray Crown Victoria. The driver of the Crown Victoria started to make a left turn at the intersection, causing the two vehicles to collide. Both vehicles sustained immense damage in the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Both the driver and passenger inside the Crown Victoria sustained injuries in the accident. The passenger, who has not yet been formally identified by police, was listed in critical condition. The driver of the Taurus did not sustain injuries.

Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
