Leesburg, GA – Three Injured in Semi-Truck Accident at US-19 S & Cedric St
Leesburg, GA (March 15, 2022) – Three people sustained injuries as a result of a semi-truck accident that took place in Leesburg on Tuesday morning, March 15.
According to Lee County officials, the accident happened in the morning hours at the intersection of Highway 19 South and Cedric Street. Police confirmed that three vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to forcefully collide. The vehicles were identified as two passenger vehicles and a semi-truck. The vehicles sustained heavy damage as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of three people sustained injuries in the accident. The parties were hospitalized, though their current conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, all northbound lanes of traffic were blocked for some time. This led to delays in the area for a period of time.
