Leesburg, GA (January 4, 2023) – A child sustained injuries in a serious pedestrian crash that took place in a driveway in Leesburg on Tuesday, January 3.
According to Leesburg Police, the accident happened around 5 p.m. in an unknown area of Leesburg. Police confirmed that a child was in a driveway when they were suddenly struck by the driver of a vehicle who either entered or left the driveway. According to police, the area had little traffic, and the driver remained at the scene.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The child, who has not yet been formally identified and whose name is unknown, was rushed to the hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.
The area was blocked for some time as police worked to investigate.
