According to Cobb County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Barrett Parkway and Cobb Place Boulevard. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with one another. The two vehicles, identified as a black sedan and a white SUV, were both badly damaged due to the accident.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to assist those in need. One or more parties were injured in the accident. The parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time as police worked to clear the scene. This led to extensive delays until the scene was cleared.
