Greenville, SC – Update: Jalyen McBridge Dies in Crash on Bruce Rd

Greenville, SC (December 18, 2021) – Authorities have identified the man who was killed in a pedestrian accident in Greenville on Thursday evening, December 16. The fatal crash was reported on Bruce Road at around 6:50 p.m. 

Local reports revealed that 27-year-old Jalyen Jaquiele Durran McBride was walking along the roadway when he was hit by an oncoming motor vehicle. He was struck by a Jeep and was left with multiple blunt-force injuries. The vehicle was headed northbound when the driver veered across the centerline and struck the pedestrian. 

McBridge sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. An ongoing crash investigation is underway.
