South Carolina Fatal Car Crashes
Driving is one of the most dangerous activities we engage in on a daily basis. South Carolina had the country’s highest per capita rate of fatal crashes in 2018. With 1,037 fatalities reported, automobiles, trucks, and SUVs accounted for almost 65% of all fatal collisions in the state that year. According to statistics, nearly 82% of fatal car accidents in South Carolina are caused by a driver’s actions.
For surviving families, the intense pain that often comes with the death of a family member can be overwhelming. This is especially true if the accident was caused by a driver who was careless or reckless. Those close to the victim will almost certainly face unforeseeable and serious consequences. Wrongful death cases frequently result in significant financial losses for families, both now and in the future, and fatal accidents require the help of a knowledgeable Greenville wrongful death attorney.
Unfortunately, many families are unaware that they may be entitled to compensation if a family member dies. Medical expenses, burial costs, and lost future earnings are just a few of the losses incurred by the deceased. Families who have lost a loved one often do not know how to obtain the compensation they are entitled to.
