Greenville, SC – Illya Mikeas Rosas Cascallares Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 183 near Batson Dr
Greenville, SC (July 18, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Greenville has claimed one motorcyclist’s life. At around 5:45 p.m., on July 17, the South Carolina Highway Patrol arrived at the scene of a crash that occurred on Highway 183. Reports from SCHP show that a motorcycle was traveling north on Highway 183. At the same time, a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling south on the same roadway.
For unknown reasons, the driver of the Tahoe attempted to turn left from Highway 183 onto Batson Drive. As a result, the Tahoe struck the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, 25-year-old Illya Mikeas Rosas Cascallares, was fatally injured in the accident. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the Tahoe was charged with having no driver’s license and failing to yield the right of way.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
