Distracted Driving Accidents in South Carolina

Driving distractions are more prevalent than ever on the road. Catastrophic injuries occur every day as a consequence of dangers including mobile phones, GPS navigators, and the temptation to multitask while driving. When a driver is paying attention to something other than driving and operating a vehicle, there is a serious safety concern for everyone on the road.

First, insurance companies are businesses largely motivated by the need to turn a profit. They put their bottom line before your best interests, which might result in them wrongly rejecting, delaying, or significantly reducing the amount of compensation you are legally entitled to receive from your claim.

Determining who is at fault might be easy in some circumstances. In other instances, the issue is more complex, and both drivers may have contributed to the accident in some way. In the world of personal injury claims, there are some ambiguous situations. You could be somewhat at fault for an accident, and the defendant might also be partially at fault. South Carolina uses modified comparative negligence, a kind of comparative negligence, to determine how damages should be allocated.

When another party is at fault for an accident that left you injured, the attorneys at Monge & Associates fight to defend your rights. Our legal team is dedicated to upholding the rights of accident victims in court and assisting them in obtaining the money required for a full recovery.
