Green Pond, SC – Man Dies in Fire Caused by Kerosene Explosion on Magwood-Bryant Rd
Green Pond, SC (January 12, 2022) – A house fire in the Green Pond area on Wednesday afternoon, January 12, left one man dead. The incident was reported at around 12:15 p.m. at a residence located at the 1300 block of Magwood-Bryant Road.
Firefighters and emergency crews were dispatched to the scene. When they arrived, they found the occupant in the yard on fire. The single-wide mobile home was engulfed in flames. The deadly blaze was reportedly caused by a kerosene explosion.
The home had no electricity and was heated by kerosene. The home was destroyed in the explosion.
