Great Falls, SC – One Killed in Structure Fire near Dutchman Creek Marina & Restaurant

Great Falls, SC (December 29, 2021) – A person was killed following a structure fire in the Great Falls area on Tuesday morning, December 28. The deadly incident was reported near the Dutchman Creek Marina and Restaurant at around 5:43 a.m. 

Firefighters were called to the scene after assisting with another fire in the area. Responding officials found a fully engulfed structure with someone trapped inside. Multiple units were needed to extinguish the fire. The trapped party suffered fatal injuries in the fire and was later pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased has not been revealed at this time. 

An ongoing investigation into the deadly fire is underway.
