Gilbert, SC – One Killed, Three Injured in Collision on Pond Branch Rd
Gilbert, SC (December 10, 2021) – A two-vehicle crash in the Gilbert area on Friday morning, December 10, left one person dead and three others injured. The deadly accident occurred at the intersection of Pond Branch Road and Neely Wingard Road at around 7 a.m.
Local reports revealed that a 2001 Ford minivan and a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe collided at the scene. The Tahoe was traveling east as the Ford was headed southbound. Four people were inside the Tahoe at the time of impact.
Two people from the Tahoe were ejected in the crash. One of them suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The three other occupants, including the driver of the Tahoe, were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of sustained injuries.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
