Gainesville, GA – Two Injured in Truck Crash at Queen City Pkwy & Aviation Blvd

Gainesville, GA (March 1, 2022) – Two people were injured in a truck crash that took place at an intersection in Gainesville on Monday morning, February 28.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Queen City Parkway and Aviation Boulevard. A flatbed tractor-trailer and a Honda Accord were involved in the accident. A Honda Accord driven by an 18-year-old female was driving north when it started to make a turn at Aviation. The driver started to make a left turn while a tractor-trailer was driving through the area. The truck driver failed to avoid the vehicle, colliding with it. This caused both vehicles to leave the roadway.

Paramedics and Gainesville Fire Department crews were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 18-year-old and her passenger were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. They are expected to fully recover. The driver of the truck was not hurt but remained at the scene.

The intersection was blocked for about an hour as police worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.

Truck Accidents in Georgia

Because tractor-trailers are so large, this means that they are capable of causing some of the most extensive harm in the event of an accident. Tractor-trailers are approximately 20 to 30 times larger than passenger vehicles, which means that they can cause catastrophic damages in the event of an accident. Every year, thousands of truck accidents happen in Georgia that lead to serious injuries. In just one recent year’s time in the entire U.S., over 110,000 people were seriously injured in truck accidents due to the reckless acts of others. If you have been hurt in a truck accident, you should be prepared to speak with an attorney that you can trust.

Truck accident claims are typically known for being more complex than car accident cases. This is due to the fact that truck drivers have to abide by many rules on our roads at any given time. On top of this, trucks are known for being part of large commercial enterprises, which means that many different parties could be liable for a truck accident. These include some of the following parties:

  • Truck drivers
  • Trucking companies
  • Manufacturers
  • Cargo loaders

If your life has been turned upside-down due to a truck accident, you should be prepared to speak with a Gainesville truck accident attorney who has your best interests in mind.
