Gainesville, GA (December 6, 2022) – A child was injured in a pedestrian accident that took place on a roadway in Gainesville on the night of Sunday, December 4.
According to Gainesville Police Department officials, the accident happened around 6 p.m. on Bradford Street. Police confirmed that a nine-year-old girl was traveling in the area when she walked across the street. As she was doing so, she was struck by a passenger vehicle in the area. The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The child was seriously injured as a result of the accident. She was taken to a local hospital but has since been listed in stable condition.
The driver of the vehicle has not yet been charged for their role in the accident. Police quickly cleared the scene after the accident.
