Fort Oglethorpe, GA (January 27, 2023) – Injuries were reported in a serious head-on collision that took place at an intersection in Fort Oglethorpe on the afternoon of Friday, January 27.
According to Catoosa County officials, the accident happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Cloud Springs Road and Scruggs Road. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide head-on into one another. One of the vehicles went off the side of the road. Both vehicles sustained front-end damage as a result of the accident.
Several responders, including Fort Oglethorpe paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. EMS crews were on scene assisting those with injuries. The injured parties were hospitalized, though their conditions are not entirely known.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
