Florence, SC – Mitchell Carter, Three Others Killed in Fiery Crash at Train Crossing

Florence, SC (September 12, 2022) – Four people were killed after a speeding driver crashed into a stopped train in Florence on Saturday evening, September 10. 

It was reported that a vehicle was speeding around the crossing arms at a railroad crossing and hit a CSX train. There were five people in the vehicle, and the impact caused the car to catch fire. Four occupants suffered fatal injuries in the crash. One passenger was hurt and taken to a local hospital for treatment. 

The deceased parties were later identified as 34-year-old Mitchell Carter II, 40-year-old Jeneka Carter, 46-year-old Antoine Hines, 46, and 27-year-old  Ruby Taylor. No further information has been provided. 

An ongoing investigation into the deadly crash is underway.
