Car Accidents in Georgia

A motor vehicle crash can change your life in an instant. Unfortunately, tens of thousands of people in Georgia are left with serious injuries due to the negligence of others. After an accident, you may be able to pursue compensation from the responsible party.

There are two main types of car accident cases. These include personal injury and property damage. Personal injury claims are for injuries that you sustained in the accident, while property damage claims are for damage to your vehicle.

To file a personal injury claim, you will need to prove that the other driver was at fault for the accident and that your injuries were caused by their negligence. To do this, you will need to gather evidence such as police reports, witness statements, and medical records. Once you have collected this evidence, you will need to file a lawsuit against the other driver in civil court.

If you win your case, the other driver will be required to pay for your losses and expenses, including the cost of medical care, vehicle repairs, and more. If you have suffered serious injuries, you may also be able to recover punitive damages.

To file a property damage claim, you will need to prove that the other driver was at fault for the accident and that your vehicle was damaged as a result of their negligence. You will need to provide proof of the damage to your vehicle, such as photos or estimates from auto repair shops. Once you have gathered this evidence, you will need to file a claim with the other driver’s insurance company.

No matter what type of car accident claim you are filing, it is important to work with a car accident lawyer in Dunwoody who can help ensure that your rights are protected and that you receive the compensation that you deserve.
