Decatur, GA – Several Injured in Multi-Vehicle Collision in EB Lanes of I-20
Decatur, GA (May 11, 2022) – Reports stated that a multi-vehicle collision took place on a major highway in Decatur on Wednesday evening, May 11.
According to DeKalb County officials, the accident happened around 6:33 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-20 around the area of Candler Road. Police were present at the scene and confirmed that several vehicles collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The involved vehicles were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
A large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police did not say if any of the involved drivers received charges for their role in the collision.
